OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES BRANDING
I collaborated with the OER team to develop the organization’s brand identity from the ground up, leading all visual direction and design. I created a comprehensive array of materials including brand guidelines, logos, merchandise, and promotional assets.

Open Educational Resources is a California-based initiative focused on reducing the financial cost of education by providing free textbooks to students and staff. The visual concept draws inspiration from California’s diverse landscapes and national parks, highlighting three distinct environments: forest, coastal, and arid.  My goal was to create a comprehensive brand identity that encapsulated the diversity of the state.

Branding Guideline Presentation I created and presented at the 2026 Zero Textbook Cost Summit

My presentation highlighted the work I completed in developing a comprehensive brand guide and a set of reusable assets designed to help faculty promote Open Educational Resources (OER) programs on their campuses. The project focused not only on creating engaging and effective visuals, but also on making design resources accessible and easy to use for OER teams across California, regardless of their location or level of design experience.
